Coordinates too far from the origin

I often import IFC files from Trimble Connect by converting them to TrimBIM first. That works fine and the files become quite good and often correct enough, but I would really like to hear if there is some way to convert/move the coordinates in advance during import to SketchUp to avoid the issue that coordinates often are far from the origin and therefore do not show up or are not correct at all after import to SU. Would be great if SU could note this during the import process asking if the coordinates should be transferred to a local system. I have searched but am surprised to find that this issue is seldom or never spoken about.

Have you tried to change the import [Options…] for IFC files and enabled/disabled the Position option “Preserve drawing original”?

Thanks, that actually did work, I had not seen that as I usually don’t import IFC directly. I was however hoping to bring it in as a smaller TrimBIM file but then there is no such option. I will continue importing as IFC for now. Very good help:)

You’re welcome, glad i could and did help out with this suggestion.
