We are in need of someone with an architectural background to assist with creating construction documents for 4.000-7,000 SF custom homes. This work would be performed on an as-needed contract type basis with possibly 1-2 projects per month.
For these projects, a SketchUp model will be provided to you with the interior floor plans laid out and modeled, and the exterior of the home is designed and modeled. In SketchUp, you would need to model the floor and roof framing, and model the wall sections in 3D. Then you will need to complete the construction drawings in LayOut. An example of the construction documents will be provided as well as 3D SketchUp details for starting the wall sections.
The construction drawings would typically need to consist of the following at a minimum:
- Footing and Foundation Plan
- Framing plans
- Floor Plans with dimensions and window schedules
- Roof Plans with slopes identified
- Exterior Elevations with materials notated
- Building Sections showing floor elevations and plate heights
- Wall Sections with dimension and notes
