Connect two 2D objects to create 3D object

Hi!

I’ve got these two 2D objects which are identical objects scaled differently.
I’m wondering how I could connect these and create a 3D object.

Thanks!

What version of SketchUp are you really using? Your profile says “Fee Plan” 2024. That implies you are using the free web version. If that’s the case you can stitch between the vertices with the Line tool to create the faces. Since the shapes are the same with the top one smaller, you could use Push/Pull on the bottom face to make a 3D shape and then use the Scale tool to scale just the top face down.

If, instead, you are using the desktop version of SketchUp 2024, you could do the same as above or you could use an extension such as Curviloft from Sketchucation.

Hi @DaveR,

I’m currently using the 7 day trial version of sketchup 2024.

Ok. That’s not the Free Plan. It would be SketchUp Studio for the moment.

Since you’re just experimenting with SketchUp, then, try one of the first two options I gave. No need to install any extensions.
