I am wanting to make a conical spiral, I have curve maker, what option do i use ? , and i only need about a quarter turn

Different method for what? What are you actually modeling?
To make a tapered spiral for a path I would use Curve Maker. Beyond that, it depends on what the final object needs to be. Since you only need a quarter turn set From turns and To turns 0.25 apart. i.e 0 and 0.25 or 1 and 1.25.
that’s what I ended up doing dave, I needed a partial curve but the radiuses were not same, that’s why i was thinking i needed a conical spiral. but i used the helix and because it was minimal differences and not exactly 0.25, I just stretched it a few mm. and the used the upright extrude. Thanks
