Is there a way to turn off these around component edge dashes? They kinda just annoy me, i see how they could be useful but I use Hide Rest of Model so not to me.
Looks to me as if you are seeing edges bleeding through because the walls are too thin relative to the camera to model distance. If you don’t want to see those edges, hide them.

That’s not what I’m saying. And funnily enough, I’m doing that right now 
When I edit a component, it gets a dotted black box around it. (to show that I’m editing it). way to hide that?
Oh. No. You can’t get rid of those lines.

If you mean the bounding box, no, that cannot be turned off.
