Challenge Adding Draft to Complex Geometry for 3D Printed Part

Hi all. I’m pushing the boundary of my (and hopefully not Sketchup’s) abilities here and hoping for some learned advice. I am trying to add some draft to the geometry I have created for 3D printing and using in a mold. I just want to add angle to a plane but because it is connected to a lot of other geometry, it is not working out.

The video explains what I am trying to do and the challenge I am facing:

Any and all advice appreciated. I could imagine that one step would be to create all of the shapes independently and then use solid tools to combine them but I am hoping there may be some good advice for building the whole piece as a whole.

Thank you very much for responding so concisely Mihai. I am experimenting with FredoScale and not quite having the success you did in your example but will keep working with it and hope to report back.
