Can't push/pull this flat surface

Hello everyone. I have a model I made for a friend and the model was too thin/fragile. All I want to do is push/pull all of the bottom faces which are all flat…1mm out (so entire model is 1mm thicker in only one direction)

I can’t find any way to push the highlighted flat face you see in the red circle. Native tools worked for some of the flat faces and I had to use Joint Push/Pull for others. (You can see where a new line/edge was created where I had to use Joint Push/Pull). When I try to use Joint/Push Pull on this last face that you see highlighted, it crashes Joint Push/Pull every time. I would greatly appreciate any advice. I’m uploading the original file called “double hearts” where it would still need to be 1mm thicker. The second file is called “double hearts experimental” and it has all the bottom flat surfaces pushed 1mm except the small heart’s inner surface (highlighted in red on the photo).

Thank you.double hearts.skp (1.9 MB)double hearts experimental.skp (1.9 MB)

First thing, to avoid the clipping, move it to origin…

explode it, and re-group it…

then, try selecting the faces and using the ‘move tool’…

if it’s all in one direction that should be all you need…

Thank you, I will try your idea. Appreciate it. About the origin…There is a glitch I forgot to mention. Every time I tried moving it to the origin, and then I save it… it leaves the origin. At least when I try to do it using the “move to origin” plugin. My work flow to move to origin that is failing is this… I highlight the model/component, chose “move to origin” with one click. It then is not on the screen at all, and I have to click the “zoom to” or whatever the magnifying glass tools is. Then, I save the file since it now should be on the origin, but then it moves or disappears again. I could blow this model back up by 1000 as I normally do when I make them, but I didn’t want to confuse anyone about what the size of the model is.

What is the native tool way to move this to origin? If I have it on screen and continue zooming out long enough will I see the origin?

Thanks for the advice.

select ‘move tool’, click on the the group, start a drag…

type [0,0,0] and hit enter…

I then use xray mode to move it manually to the exact origin…

the explode, re-group after that will get rid of any previous scaling retained by the initial group…

Thank you. Exploding and regrouping helped it stay on the origin. Great advice! Your “move” method is working too. I just have to clean up some stray geometry. Thanks again for the help.
