Can't Print to scale on macOS Big Sur

Hi,

Have just started using this product and am in love with how easy it is for drawing up floor and elevation plans in 2d.

It’s made significant savings in time and therefore money for my business.

I’ve set the camera to parallel, set a scene, and top view.

Still, when I come to print I don’t get the option to print to scale.

Such an amazing product though, happy to pay someone to help me out because it will be a life-changer for me!!!

What do you see when you go to the Print settings?

Have you thought to use LayOut? It’s generally easier to set up and make scaled output.

Can you share the .skp file so we can see the setup?

I’m not on Big Sur and still in 2019 at the moment, so I’m not sure, but there are three dialogs that influence printing to scale: Document Setup, Page Setup and Print. You have to be in an orthographic (not perspective) view to print to scale.

Document Setup is where you set scale.

Greyed out if you’re in perspective view:

Hi Dave

Thanks so much for the quick reply.

I was on the trial of SketchUp pro.

I saw posts from you previously to people with the same problem, so had tried layout and had no joy.

However, I took your advice again tonight and it’s now working like a dream, so thanks for this.

I think it may be because I have now purchased Sketchup, or maybe (and likely being a newbie) I was just missing the obvious.

So excited to move forward with this now.

Going to save so much time not having to do revised hand drawings/ alterations.
