Hi, there. I was using sketchup yesterday and everything worked properly but troday when I tried opening my file I just oculdn’t. It never opened. I tired opening it on sketchup web and it said this: “This does not appear to be a SketchUp model!”

What version of SketchUp are you actually using? There is no SketchUp for Schools 2023. SketchUp for Schools is a web based version for young school children. Are you using a cracked version of SketchUp 2023?
Where have you been saving the file while working on it? Have you tried to open the .skb backup file?
The .skp file is missing chunks of data.
To be honest I don’t really now. I put the school version because I got it installed at my university. I’ve been saving all my files on my hard drive, this is the first time that this happens, and I didn;t know there was a backup file.
Please find out what version you are actually using and correct your forum profile. SketchUp for Schools is not available to university students. Presumably you purchased a higher education license for SketchUp Pro?
Try changing the .skb file’s extension to .skp and see if it’ll open.
I managed to open the backup and it worked, thank you so much!!! And yes i think it may be another type of license sorry for the troubles. I’ll check and update my profile.
