Can't Import 3d Power Point From Sketchup

I have a .fbx file but when in power point it cannot be used with a notification in the system like this “an error occurred while importing this file”

Microsoft have disabled support for 3D formats, including FBX and SKP. There is this article which suggests using GLB:

thanks for the info but some of my 3d designs still say “an error occurred while importing this file” and i cant find model3dblockextlist in my office

If you are on Windows:

  1. unzip and run this reg file …
    msoffice_remove_model3dblockextlist.zip (372 Bytes)
  2. Restart your computer

If you are on Mac:

  1. Start Terminal
  2. In the terminal window, type:
    defaults delete com.microsoft.office 3DModelBlockExtList
    … then click the ENTER key.
  3. Close Terminal
  4. Restart your computer
