Can't drag trays to second monitor

OK…found the problem!!!

I decided, just for gigles, to change the main monitor to 100% scaling (it is a 4K monitor, so it’s set at 150 as other said on this forum would work). Well it doesn’t. The minute I switch it to 100% scaling it works like it’s supposed to - perfectly.

Now…is there a solution? I can’t work with a 4k monitor at 100% scaling - my eyesight is bad enough as it is. Any suggestions? Is this a bug that I need to report to SU? Again, works in Adobe products.

SCALING! you can set it to upto 500% but it isn’t recommended.

Found a solutions. The second monitor needs to be at the same scaling as the first monitor. So both are at 150% and works. Not great since the 2nd monitor is now having all windows super big and wasting a lot of space, but a workable solution.

Still sounds like a bad bug with SU.

Others here said that SU doesn’t like scaling above 150%. On a 4K monitor anything less becomes useless as everything is very small.

I didn’t read it but it sounds like a good place to start.

Thanks Mics. That’s how I set the different scaling settings for the monitors during this task. Definitely is a SU problem since Adobe has it right.

“you may notice that some apps completely suck at the new resolution, while others rock. If I had to guess this is more about developers packaging low DPI assets in their programs than anything else.”

I think you may be right.

You must be using an older version of Sketchup, your profile doesn’t say which.
Sketchup has addressed scaling issues for 4K monitors in recent releases.
