Hey guys,
I would like to make the interior walls here a component, separate from the floor. But if I select the walls it selects the floor even if the floor is hidden. I’m guessing it’s a rookie mistake, possibly with my tags or something. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Bast practice would have been to draw the walls without the floor and make a component or group. Then add the floor. Or do it the opposite way around. You could select only the geometry for the walls and make a component but remember to check the box for Replace selection with component.
It would be a good idea to keep your model closer to the orign. No reason for it to be over 500 feet away.
