Cannot find skb file

After a random restart of my computer I cannot find a backup file of my project anymore. Looked everywhere but no .skb file found. I checked in documents folder, in temp files …etc. just a previous version of the project. I am using Sketchup Pro 2022.(trial version)
Any suggestion?
Thank you in advance

The PC’s .SKB file is saved as the “previous” file, and is found with the main .SKP, so look in that SKP’s folder.
But it’s only made when you save the main .SKP, and of course your Preferences is set to Make Backups.

MACs have no .SKB but a ~.SKP version of the file in the same folder…

If set in Preferences, AutoSave SKP files are a different thing and are only kept if SketchUp crashes, doing a successful save & close auto-deletes them…
In newer SketchUp versions these are found in the subfolder
C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\SketchUp\working\SKETCHUP\RecoveredFiles

I use this tool on Windows:

https://www.voidtools.com

As you type each letter in .skb, the list of matches updates immediately. It’s a very fast way to find files that have moved to some other folder by mistake.

Thank you so much , I will try these tips!
