I can not activate a new account with Trimble. I get to the sreen that says “Your Trimble account is nearly ready. Please click the link in your email to activate the account.”. I receive an email from Trimble with a link to activate the new account. When I click the link, it sends the link. When I click activate in the email received, it says “Successfully created the account, click here to log in”. When I click to log in, it returns back to the “Your Trimble account is nearly ready. Please click the link in your email to activate the account.” ad nauseum
The error you saw was because you were using the activation link on an account that is already activated. Installing, then opening, and signing in to SketchUp, should be working ok for you.
