Hello. I’ve been working on a model and have been having trouble changing the segments of my circles. I can click on it; it’s not greyed out. It just won’t allow me to change the number whatsoever. I tried many things such as doing it in/out of the group, making the circle outside of the model and moving it, etc. Nothing seems to be working. It’s also not just in one area, it’s happening all throughout my model.
Share your file with us or at least a screenshot of it.
You can’t edit the number of sides in circles if they’ve been extruded into cylinders or holes. Only if they are flat and still identified as circles.
Share the .skp file so we can see exactly what you’ve got.
Your screenshot looks absolutely normal. What version of MacOS are you using? SketchUp 2022 isn’t compatible with a couple of the latest ones.
Skp files are not edit-able right? just to make sure
What do you mean? The SketchUp model file has the .skp extension. They are editable within SketchUp.
There’s something we can’t see in your screenshot that is preventing you from changing the number of segments. If it’s just a circle and not the edge of a hole, you should be able to edit that number. Sharing the file will help us help you.
Here the circle on the left can have the number of sides edited. The one on the right cannot because it is defining the edge of a hole.
With the face style set to Hidden Line in your screenshot, we can’t tell exactly what you’ve modeled. There’s definitely a simple fix to your problem but first we need to identify what you’ve really modeled.
