I have been working on an architectural model for hours and without thinking I accidentally clicked revert on the menu and didnt save any of the progress I had made. Is there any way to go back?
the backup file doesnt have any of the work ive got in it. However, I havent closed the program since I clicked revert. If that helps PLEASE could someone tell what I can do.
Unfortunately I think you are out of luck on this one.
What version of SketchUp are you using? Your profile indicates 2020 Make which is impossible.
I just use sketchup 2020
Perhaps you could update your profile to show Pro instead of Make.
It’s not likely because there’s no need for a recovered file in the circumstance but you could look in User/App Data/Local/SketchUp/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/working/SKETCHUP/RecoveredFiles and see what you find.
Oh my god I found it. Thank you SO god ■■■■ much!
Hey, great that you found it! I use a PC with Windows 10. Sometimes SketchUp saves my models in the Documents file. Probably because I forget to tell it to save in my SketchUp file. You might look there too. Cheers, Steve
I accidentally clicked on revert and then closed the file. I’m using Sketchup Make 2017. The file and autosave are still in my folder but I can’t seem to open them anymore. Same is for the .skb file. Is there anything I can do?
What happens when you try to open them?
If you reverted the file before closing SketchUp, it should have gone back to the last saved version however if you hadn’t saved it yet, that would be a problem. You may be out of luck and it may be best to start over.
Thanks a lot man, saved me lot of work hours
