Hi @andrewmaydoney I may be a little late to this party, but if you know anyone with a drone, that might be a good way to get some closeup and straight on photos of the cross!
I have a drone. The weather has been crummy here but as soon as it gets better, I’ll fly up there and get some details!
This whole building looks worthy of modeling! Any chance the designer(s)/architect(s) were drawing on some Scandinavian motifs? What was the denominational affiliation of the church when this was built?
I think Box’s overhead image is pretty helpful for comparing roofline lengths with parking lot lines. If you could follow @KeithBrooks suggestion of measuring the window from the inside, that would be really helpful.
The most useful dimension, if you have it, is the outside dimension of the white, stucco walls that form the central mass of the building. Interpolating back from the biggest dimension you can get is more accurate than extrapolating out from the dimension of some small detail.
Totally agree…now that there are larger scale images there are much bigger elements to measure right on the ground to get a much more accurate sense of scale.
