BUG: LayOut 2026.2 consistently crashes when drawing multiple 2-Point Arcs in a new blank document

Hello SketchUp Team,

I would like to report a reproducible crash in LayOut 2026.2 on Windows.

I previously reported another LayOut issue, and although I did not receive a follow-up response, I noticed that the issue was fixed in a later release. Thank you for improving LayOut.

Unfortunately, I have found another reproducible crash that still exists in the latest version.

System
• LayOut 2026.2
• Windows 11
• Acer Predator Helios Neo 16
• Intel Core i9-14900HX
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new blank LayOut document.
  2. Draw two circles.
  3. Select the 2-Point Arc tool.
  4. Continuously draw multiple arcs inside the circles.
  5. After drawing several arcs, LayOut consistently crashes and BugSplat appears.

This issue occurs consistently on my system and is 100% reproducible.

The crash does not require any SketchUp model or external reference. It can be reproduced in a completely blank LayOut document, so it is not related to model complexity, file size, or imported content.

I have attached a screen recording showing the complete reproduction process from creating a new blank document until the crash occurs.

Could someone from the engineering team please investigate this issue?

If additional information, BugSplat IDs, or test files are required, I would be happy to provide them.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

I couldn’t find any bugsplats from you, did you send some in?

I don’t get a crash when trying your steps.

It doesn’t trigger a splat, Layout just closes. Are you trying tis on a Mac or Windoze? It may be platform-specific.

I tried the steps outlined. The crash happens when picking the base of the arc at the center of a circle.

I tried Mac and Windows, and copied the animation, so did include starting the arc from the center of a circle.
