Good afternoon everyone, often when preparing documents to speed up the process I simply copy a component or group in SketchUp using Ctrl+C and paste it into Layout using Ctrl+V and dimension the model, but in the new version 2026.2, when doing this, Layout 2026.2 crashes when inserting objects from SketchUp.
Do you see a bugsplat window? If you do, could you send it in?
Where is the .skp file saved when you are doing this? Where is the LO file saved?
You do know that when you copy from SketchUp and paste into LayOut that your viewport is not connected to the original model, right? And each time you copy from the model and paste into LayOut you get another viewport that is connected to neither the model or any of the other viewports that came from that model.
Are you still using Windows 10?
Hi, yes, I understand that the code copies the model, so it is not equated to the main models and becomes separate, and yes, I use Windows 10
@trimag7 we’ve not been able to reproduce the crash you describe on Win10 or Win11 with 26.2.243. Might you be willing to supply a .SKP file that you’re experiencing this with?
