Blocks, models from solid works in sketchup

i am using small models which was modelled in solid works and then converted to sketchup - but when i insert them into a model sketchup is on the verge of crashing - "stop working and looks as tho its struggling doe anyone have a solution to this -

please elaborate; how was this done, which format?

You will probably get the best result by sharing the file here, if possible. Also, I wanted to point out that “small” models do not necessarily mean that they are efficient, wee built files. I have seen models of “small items” (a screw, in one case), that was hundreds of thousands of faces!
