Black Veiwport when printed from PDF

Hello totally new to the forum realm, So I design for a small carpentry company I my self have been a carpenter for 24 years, been using Sketchup for 5 years and Layout for 1.5, I personally work from an HP Pavillion laptop, send finished PDFs to employer who is running on a Mac, when he prints the files I send, the viewport around project is black ink, yet item from Sketchup seems untouched, but yet when I send PDF from my laptop to same printers all is well, is this a conflict between machines or is there a setting I’m overlooking, any advise would be appreciated. Thanks
