Best way to wrap a 2d shape (ribbon), around an object?

Seeking your thoughts on best way to wrap a 2d shape (i.e. ribbon for example), around a 3d object

A quick search indicated quite a few potential alternatives . .

Super Drape
Flowify
Shape Bender
Fredo Tools on surface

I’m not sure if any of these could automatically wrap multiple times around surface of object - as defined by length of ribbon?

My favorite : shape-bender. But what means “…wrap multiple times around surface of object…” . Sounds that like a helix?
