Best iPad 2026: Which iPad Should You Buy?

I have been researching the best iPad because I need a tablet for everyday use, browsing, entertainment, and productivity. I have looked at several options, and these two caught my attention:

Both look like good options, but I’m having trouble deciding which one offers the best performance and value. Which one would you recommend, and are there any other tablets I should consider?

Since you are asking which iPad to buy, of the two choices you give, the first one is the one you should buy. The other one is not an iPad.

…but if you want to use it with Sketchup here is the official recommendation:

Sketchup won’t run on Android based tablet like Samsung Galaxy Tabs.

Sketchup only works on iPad, so the Samsung one is no use

I’d suggest getting the largest screen version you can afford. The extra space will be easier to work with than an smaller ipad.

If you’re doing SketchUp on it, you really want an Apple Pencil with it. That one supports the original Apple Pencil, which will do as a minimum, but if you can afford the extra for the basic iPad Pro and Apple Pencil Pro, you’ll get a better experience and go farther with it.
