Hello!
I’ve imported dozens of simple 2D drawings from AutoCAD and reduced curve segment amount in a few steps. I can’t for the life of me remember how I did this, as now the curve segment count cannot be edited (it’s greyed out). I know there is a simple solution for this, but can’t remember what it is. see attached.

In order to be able to edit the number of segments within Entity Info the curve must be identified as either an Arc or a Circle. As you see, when SketchUp identifies the string of edge segments as a curve, you can’t change the number of segments. For a curve you could use the tools in Curvizard, an extension by Fredo6 which is available from Sketchucation. In many cases I find exploding curves and then welding them with Eneroth Auto Weld (from the Extension Warehouse) restores them as arcs and then the number of segments can be edited.
FWIW, this shows the difference between native Weld and Eneroth Auto Weld. Auto Weld has the toolbar button.
