Auto adjust dimension lines to Scale changes?

Hello,

I was wondering if there was anyway to make Layout automically change my dimensions lines when I adjust my scale. For example, If I go from 1/4 scale to 1/2, the dimension lines will be smaller than the newly adjusted scale, rather than chaning to lock on the edges and surfaces on the scale they were originally drawn on. Is there anyway I can set LayOut to lock on to those surfaces or edges when I change my scale?

I would expect that the dimensions would automatically adjust to match the new scale of the viewport - can you attach a screenshot to help me understand what’s happening?
