Authorization Issue: Can I Reset My SketchUp Classic License?

I’m facing an authorization problem with my SketchUp Classic License. I understand that a single-user license should allow me to log in on up to 2 devices. However, even though I’ve only logged into 1 device, I’m getting a “Too Many Computers” notification.

@colin , could you help with this issue? Does anyone else know how to reset the license or resolve this problem? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

What version of SketchUp are you really using? Your profile says you are using “Free Plan” 2024. The free plan is a web based version which doesn’t require a license. If you are using the desktop version of SketchUp 2024, there is no classic license. Just your subscription. You can manage your devices by signing into your account at connect.trimble.com and release all devices.

SketchUp 2021 classic license

Why did you put false information in your forum profile, then?

SketchUp 2021 hasn’t been supported for a few years but you might have some luck if you contact customer support via the Contact Us page at sketchup.com

I’ve already changed it, sorry. I will try to contact them.

Actually, there is also a ‘spare’ activation with the classic license, so there must be two other devices besides the one you are using where it is used.
Note that deinstalling the software alone doesn’t free an activation, it needs to be removed through the Welcome screen.
If you know a machine where it was once installed, you can reinstall the software, activate it and then deactivate to get your activation back…

Unfortunately, the machine is no longer available at this time. Hopefully, it can be reset.
