In looking at previous release dates, I see that new versions of SketchUp have been released ranging from November all the way through April. I’m wondering if there is an anticipated release date for SketchUp 2025 as well as Studio.
One thing we are hoping for with SketchUp Studio is support for Revit 2025 importing. Does anyone know if that will be included in the update?
it will. either that or briefly before / after, since it’s an extension. but yeah, expect revit 25 support with SU25. same way SU24 came with a revit importer version compatible with revit 24.
if there had been a 24.1 , it might have come with updated compatibility, but this year we didn’t get one.
yeah, SU24 was quite the outlier, it was later than usual, the previous few years have seen releases late january / early february. the lateness probably had to do with the massive task that was updating the 3d engines. let’s hope this year is more about building on the existing stuff and fixing bugs.
Why are you mentioning Windows 7? I didn’t mention it? We’re interested specifically because of support for importing Revit 2025 models using SketchUp Studio.
Edit: I see why. I’ve updated my profile to say Windows 11 Pro.
As a new user to this amazing program. I purchased my 2024 version in October of 2024, when the 2025 version is released. Do I get access to the new features? or only after I renew my subscription?
Your subscription is for a year unless you purchased a monthly subscription. With the annual subscription you’ll be able to update to SketchUp 2025 when it is released.
