I published Animator v4.3a which includes 3 modes for generating a video with VRay rendering.
-
Interactive: this is the current mode (as for other rendering software). You are blocked in Animator and Sketchup until the generation finishes.
-
Batch: Animator prepares the frames (very fast), and then generates the image files in Batch mode, leaving Sketchup free to use. When all frames are generated, Animator creates the video(s). Normally, the Batch rendering can use all hardware capability of your computer.
-
Cloud Mode: Animator prepares a job for the animation to be submitted to Chaos Cloud for remote rendering (you need to purchase credits to Chaos for this service). When the Cloud job is completed, you go back to Animator and generate the video(s). The process is automated.
Batch and Cloud modes are available for VRay 6 and above.
