It needs to work on the iPad. Since I retired over a year ago I’ve abandoned my Mac mini and my MacBook Pro and have been doing everything on the iPad and iPhone. Prior to that I’d only used my computers for my work as a software developer for quite some time. I’ve owned iPads since Apple first started making them. Over the years I have found myself using my computers less and less and iOS devices more and more.
I’m pretty happy with SU for iPad. Before my software development career I was an intern architect and worked with Intergraph CAD systems. I’ve already modeled my first project in SU, a design for a battery-powered personal transit device. The structure of this vehicle is cut from a single sheet of 1/4” plywood:
