Hi, when I turn on ambient occlusion it makes everything look like it’s covered in spider webs. See attached pic. And it does NOT create the cool shading effect. My SU 2024 had no issues, but 2025 is giving me problems. This screenshot is just a simple series of rectangles with default colors upon opening a file, nothing fancy done with materials etc. Anyone have any clues?
Is the graphics card indicated in your forum profile correct?
From the System Requirements:
- The following MacOS GPUs are unsupported:
- Intel HD Graphics 5000
- Intel HD Graphics 6000
- Intel Iris Graphics
- Intel Iris Graphics 6100
- Intel Iris Pro Graphics
Can you post the model? If others get the same effect, the reason might be interesting to find.
Which version of MacOS?
Do you have hidden geometry?
Hi all, thanks for the quick response, the first one was the right one. Intel Iris graphics card not supported. Frownie face. I guess I will have to wait until I get a new Mac to enjoy ambient occlusion.
