I’m in school and I have to build my own model and render it with v-ray. I have done this before, but used a provided model for the rendering, that was done correctly. I have to use my own model now and I’m struggling with getting the geometry right. I I’m working on setting up my group and component and I tried to create a boundary for the floor and it comes up all splotchy. I have no idea how to fix this or what to look for in an attempt to find the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Start here - SketchUp Fundamentals -Part 1 | SketchUp Campus - and learn the basics of SketchUp. Learn about groups, components and layers (tags).
You have a lot of reversed faces, loose geometry and layers assigned to it.
It is recommended to group each element separately, and to assign these groups layers, not to raw geometry.
