Aligning cylinders on a common axis

Hi, being a relatively new user, I haven’t really learned to tie my shoe laces yet…
I’ve read various questions and answers on this, but I still have not succeeded in drawing two cylinders in the same plane, and then aligning them on the same axis. What’s the secret?

I’m using SketchUp Make 2015 (as the 2017 version won’t run, possibly my video card won’t support it?).

Keith.

If you grab the end of one cylinder by the center of the end with the Move tool (use inferencing to find that center) you can move that point to the center of the other cylinder’s end. It’s a good exercise to learn about using inferencing but frankly, if I wanted two cylinders on the same axis, I’d draw the second one in place on the end of the first.
