Addon for updating model with imported components?

Does anyone know of an addon that will monitor locally saved components, that were imported in a model, for changes and automatically update the model that uses them to reflect those changes?

Not sure if that is clear, so here is a second attempt.

I have made a component and saved it to my drive.
I imported that component into another model that contains many components( like doors imported into a house model).

Is there an addon that will check keep an eye on those imported components and update the ‘house’ whenever the ‘door’ component changes?

It sounds like the Xref Manager plugin by TIG. If I remember well, it doesn’t automatically update the component but it can indicate there’s a newer version on your disk and update your model.
