All, I have a file the is a native 3ds/obj that I would like to import into sketchup. It is a large file and it has 219 JPEG textures that use uv mapping. I can get the geometry to import correctly, but the materials are not coming in correctly. They are misaligned. Does anyone have experience with 3ds imports and how to resolve the texture mapping issues?
From memory try triangulating the faces in 3ds before importing. The textures can be broken by the importer.
It appears that it is already an edible mesh. Unless I’m missing something? Would love it if anyone could take a look to see if I can resolve this issue. The link below provides a download for a .obj and corresponding texture maps.
