3Dconnexion Space Mouse not talking to just installed SketchUp Pro 2019 on Windows 7

Just upgraded from SketchUp Pro 2018 to 2019 and can’t get my Space Mouse to talk to it after a reboot.
Anybody ran into this issue?

You need to reinstall the space mouse driver after you install a new version of SketchUp. The 3dConnexion installer adds its plugin to each version of SketchUp it finds, but can’t anticipate future SketchUp installations.

I’m trying to get this to work on a new Mac with a fresh install of Sketchup 2019 which seems to otherwise work fine, I’ve tried this and a number of things and nothing has worked.
