Hi @CaseyG , I tried multiple times for 24 hrs after that i gave up and loaded 2023 version again to work my project. I accessed the 3D warehouse vi browser and dragged the item to SketchUp.
Hi @kriti.terway. Thanks for the post and sorry to hear you are having difficulty with the 3D Warehouse. Did you try clearing your web cache?
Hi,
Sketchup advised of this and I think this may actually be the issue. Do you think this is possible in your situation?
"Hello Michael,
Thank you for your reply, Jessica is away so I will be assisting you.
If you are using multiple monitors, is it possible that the 3D Warehouse is opening on a another monitor? We are aware of a bug in SketchUp 2024 using Extended Displays on Windows where trays and toolbars sometimes remain on a secondary monitor when the main SketchUp window is moved to the primary monitor.
Our developers are looking into this but we do not know when a fix might be available. There is currently no workaround for this issue except to keep SketchUp on Monitor 2 or turn off Extended Displays. You can adjust your monitor settings to renumber your displays or turn off Extended Displays under Windows Display Settings."
@kriti.terway I had this same issue. 3D warehouse worked fine in 2023 but when I loaded 2024 the issue was similar to yours.
Click on Window > 3D Warehouse and nothing would happen, no window would load, no response from the program at all. Would click it again and nothing would happen. After 3 or 4 tries I would get a Bug Splat Error.
I did try to empty my AppData WebCache folder in 2023 and 2024 and that did not help.
Then I tried just deleting the entire sketchup folders in the local and roaming folders. That did not work.
In the end I removed Sketchup 2023 and 2024 from my computer, went through the registry and deleted all entries with the word Sketchup in them and then rebooted and reinstalled 2024 and now the 3d warehouse works.
My best guess is that there was an entry in the registry that was for Google > Chrome and said Sketchup8. That my or may not be the specific entry that I deleted to fix it but its my best guess. No idea now as I just deleted everything Sketchup from the registry,
Hope this helps.
Thank you for this, it worked!
I only use 1 monitor on my remote desktop setup & for whatever reason the screen moved & re-install, changing display properties on Windows RDP, etc didnât work. It started after a crash from Sketchup when I tried to open 3D Warehouse earlier tonight.
Had the same issue with 2024 so disconnnected monitor restarted SKP and it worked on single screen. At least there was a good work around for the moment.
I did sign in to the 2024 version and Iâm still not ale to use 3d warehouse - any suggestions?
we need more details. does the 3d warehouse window appear or not ? does your profile appear top right ? can you move between pages ? do you get an error message ?
what if you go to the web version, does it work ?
This forum is like calling a garage saying âcar doesnât workâ. we need more than that.
Have you disconnected an external monitor?
I had this issue, it started a few days ago when I disconnected from a wireless TV I used for a presentation in the office. When I did my presentation I had the wireless connection set as duplicating display.
My normal setup is laptop + 2 hardwired monitors, display extended over the monitors.
Just now I was messing around with which monitor was marked as âmain displayâ, and when I switched the main display to one of my monitors, the 3D Warehouse popped up on the screen.
Hope that helps someone!
(Edited to add, I did this on SU 2024, and I also have the as-yet unresolved issue of toolbars and dialog box pop-ups opening on other monitors)
I had that happening with a toolbar the other day. While SketchUp was open I went into User/AppData/Local/ ⊠/SketchUp and deleted PrivatePreferences.json. Then I moved the toolbar where I wanted it and saved the changes to the current SketchUp model. The .json file was remade and the toolbar has remained where I put it since then.
BTW, please update your forum profile. It says you are using 22.
Hi,
I had the same problem. I couldnât open or see the 3D Warehouse, Extension Warehouse, and Extension Admin windows (sorry, I have it in Spanish). I found this solution here and tried it:
Follow these steps. This is how it worked for me: Restore the SketchUp window (do not maximize or make it full-screen, and do not minimize it). Click the 3D Warehouse button and follow the steps (do not move your mouse). The key is to hold the ALT key and then hit the SPACE BAR quickly. If a small black window with a menu that includes options like restore, move, maximize, minimize, etc., appears (not in the upper left corner of the SketchUp window), you have caught the hidden 3D Warehouse window. Close the 3D Warehouse window and save the file you opened to do this. For the Extension windows, I had to do this several times until I âcaughtâ the window.
I have two monitors. One of my three attempts worked with both monitors on. For the other attempts, I unplugged one monitor. If SketchUp crashes before saving, youâll have to repeat the process.
I had a similar problem. I couldnât load 3D Warehouse. I tried reloading Sketchup Pro 2024. Then rebooted my laptop - still the same. Logged out of Sketchup and logged in again - still the same problem. Then I thought it might be because I was using only my (integral) laptop monitor so I tried playing with my monitor settings - nothing. Then I plugged in my home monitor and 3D Warehouse was on the second screen. So I dragged it back onto the laptop screen, then unplugged the external monitor. Everything is now fine. So it seems that 3D Warehouse was opening but it just wasnât visible. Iâm running SU 2024 Pro on Windows 11. Good luck.
3D warehouse is not working for me in 2024. If I use 2023 it works. I get nothing when I try to bring it up. I have deleted the webcache directory, signed out. rebooted machine, etc. I was working several days ago just fine in 2024. I have gotten several bugsplats in this process. I have tried unplugging my second monitor, getting rid of extended monitor etc.
I would like to get fully migrated over to 2024, get all my extensions installed, etc. I would like to get to the warehouse, and get my work done without bouncing around versions. This is very annoying to say the least.
or
For me this solved the problem:
"First, make sure all instances of Sketchup and LayOut are closed.
Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SketchUp\SketchUp year\SketchUp and delete the PrivatePreferences.json file."
Hi, this solves the issue for me, thank you. Every now and then 3D warehouse stops working again and I do the same thing to resolve. Note that this sometimes will make you look like a new user to Sketchup when you try to use Sketchup so you will need to remove the license assigned to you and reassign it to be able to log back in.
I am having the same problem. I click on the warehouse icon and nothing happens.
Presumably you are using Windows for the operating system? You didnât put the correct information in your forum profile.
Did you install SketchUp 2024 correctly? That requires right clicking on the downloaded installer and selecting Run as administrator.
Did you try the advice given which worked for the person who posted just above your post?
