3D Printer Recommendations

Not a new questions, but the state of the the art is constantly changing – I’m interested in getting my own 3D printer and wonder what others are using and recommend. I don’t think I want a resin printer to start, so likely a more common type of FDM.

Look at the Bambu Carbon X1. A friend of mine got one last winter and liked it so much he bought two of them for the robotics team. They are fast, accurate, and easy to set up.

What is your price point?

I am a hobbyist … now on my second 3D FDM printer.

And I have been very satisfied with the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro.

I routinely design with SketchUp, output a STL file … which I slice with Cura, output a Gcode file …which I print with the Neptune 4 Pro.

FYI … the scheme of designing in meters (and slicing millimeters) that @DaveR recommends … it works great!
