Hello everyone,
I want to get my husband a 3D printer for Christmas, I am currently researching and found a couple that may fit his interests, however, I want to know if anyone has any recommendations for beginners? Also, We have a Swamp Cooler (otherwise known as an Evap Cooler or Water Cooler) for the house that goes 24/7 in the summer time, will the moisture from that affect the machine or 3D Print? Here are the two I am looking at, so far, for him. https://snaptube.cam/ 9apps
I would recommend a sla printer for ease of use.
ELEGOO Mars UV Photocuring LCD 3D Printer with 3.5’’ Smart Touch Color Screen Off-line Print 4.72"(L) x 2.68"(W) x 6.1"(H) Printing Size Black Version https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K2ZHMRF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_gQS6DbMW779ZE
Fdm printers take more tuning.

I have an Ender 3 and that works just fine, I imagine the 5 is a step up.
Yes the moisture will degrade the print material faster, however as long as you vacum store it when not in use it will probably not be too bad. Material is also very cheap anyway at around $20 per KG.
Okay I use Prusa Version of Slic3r and Repetier-Host for Printing Both ARE FREE and really work good . . Oh yeah make sure you get bed level and put it where it will sit at as it will change the bed just enough to make parts kinda crooked other wise . . Hair spray makes a good Bed adhesive for keeping parts on the bed and not get knocked loose . . There are parts you can get on line for printing at Cults.com and Thingverse.com . . I run a 3D Printer a I3 Pro C Dual Extruder 3D printer
