When I draw 2D-floor plan or furniture and layer the groups, they seem to be see-through.
I’ve made sure they are filled. I can’t remember ever having this problem in previous drawings.
I will attach an image where it shows the problem - (the large rug and the top desk chair). I would appreciate any ideas that might help me figure this out.
This is a limitation of the graphics. You can’t put two zero-thickness faces in the same location and not expect one to show through the other. The graphics card has no way to determine which one you want to show in front of the other. SketchUp is a 3D modeling application, not a 2D drawing program. If you must work with 2D shapes, move the furniture objects up in the Z direction a little to provide separation between the different objects. When you have the camera set to Parallel Projection and the standard top view, that separation won’t be visible.
