Can’t believe that this old problem still exists!!! 2020 and STILL random disappearing EMBEDDED IMAGES!!! With a huge irritating amount of X marks for each one.

I read somewhere that this can be caused by Layout referencing a version of the image in a temporary location, e.g. when you copy and paste rather than link to the original file… something like that
Yes but in my case it’s worse. All the X marks were embedded images! Was shocked when it happened to me yet again.
