I’ve lost 2 days of work after sketchup crashed, normally the project appears when I open sketchup but this morning the only project was the one registred 2 days ago, I searched for the .SKB but just found the same project i’ve done 2 days ago, nothing when I’ve search in the AppData/Sketchup/working this file is totally empty…
Do you have AutoSave active? If I get a beachball crash (on Mac), reopening can take me back to the state the file was in when it was last opened. BUT if I do a system reboot the autosave options appear. Have you tried a reboot?
it was just sketchup that crashed
i always resize materials and clean the project before I save it, and I saved the project several times in 2 days, I don’t know why the last save I have is 6th of july 10AM
all the “labels” (I don’t if it’s the good word) are lost too and the tool pallette where you find material, information on the identity, shadows etc… is now floating I can’t fix it like it was before the crash
I can’t tell from your profile if you are on Mac or Windows. I am referring to a Mac system shut down so you can pull the power supply from the wall. I assume Windows does something similar.
Have you possibly saved with the same name to a different location? Or as Dave is suggesting, perhaps you have accidentally moved the file to Trimble’s servers.
Actually that’s NOT what I was suggesting. I was asking if Sevy is ALSO saving a backup to their Trimble Connect storage as a backup. If they had been doing so they would have the possibility of retaining the work they lost with the locally saved file.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled sketchup but nothing changed
still can’t dock the tray the double click doesn’t work
I never used Trimble Connect to saved my projects, didn’t know we can do that…
nevermind, I’ll re-do what I’ve lost
thanx for your help
