What about these specs for a computer?

Hey!
So i am going to buy a new computer for my work.

This is what i mostly do at work.

and i was wondering what you guys think of these specs?

Intel Xeon E3-1230v5 3.4-3.8 GHz (4 cores)
Nvidia Quadro P620 2GB
32GB DDR4 SDRAM 2400 MHz

Hello, should do fine if that’s what you mostly do. 16 Gb Ram should be enough though

Thank you for the reply. i went down to 16GB and took a slightly stronger 4 core prossesor.

Xeon: not needed
Quadro: not needed
32 GB: not needed (depends)

Instead of a low-end Quadro card get a Geforce at a similar or slightly higher price. If you are planning to use a realtime renderer like Twinmotion or Enscape, look for 4GB graphics memory or more.

Hi!

And thank you for the reply

What about:
Intel Core i7-8700 Processor Socket-LGA1151, 6-Core, 12-Thread, 3.2/4.6GHz
Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 16GB 2x8GB 2666MHz DDR4
ASUS GeForce GTX1660 DUAL EVO Grafikkort, PCI-Express 3.0, 6GB, GDDR5

instead of the other specs?
am i way of?

Yep, this makes way more sense now. I’d recommend going for a RTX card instead of a GTX in case you want to use a renderer such as Enscape or Twinmotion. I’d also recommend going for 32GB instead of 16GB, otherwise you might run into memory issues when rendering and handling high resolution (4K) footage. Also don’t forget a proper NVME SSD for that extra bit of speed.

Hey!

i use twillight render. Dont know what i need for that.
But i am not going to render in 4k.

And ofc i will hade an SSD

price-performance-balanced:
• CPU: Ryzen 7 3800X/3700X / intel i9-9900K(F) / i7-9700K(F) / i7-8700K
• GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti / RTX 2070 / RTX 2060 / GTX 1080 / GTX 1660 Ti
(faster <=> slower)

Hey, thanks for the tip.
What do you think of theses specs?
Core i7, (9700)
GeForce RTX 2060
16GB RAM
512 GB, (SSD)

That looks good!

well balanced configuration, go for the higher clocked 9700K as well as the allways great Samsung 970 EVO (Plus) if you can. Realize the 16 GB RAM by 2x 8 GB modules (instead of 4x 2 GB) sothat you are able to upgrade later on if desired.
