Hi, my name is Shannon. I am a designer and looking for some help with the new 2023 Layout features. I am trying to find the Orbit function. It used to a double click on the image, but now it shows a hand that you can pan in and out. In a google search someone else said to right click on the image but when I do that there are several options, but no orbit feature.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

There was a feature added a couple of versions back to prevent users accidentally double clicking into viewports to activate Orbit, Soom, and Pan because this often creates a lot of problems. You can enable it in LayOut’s Preferences>General.
What operating system are you using? You put ‘2023’ which is not an operating system.

I’m Molly.
I’ve been using Sketchup for about 5 years for various renovation/remodeling projects for clients. I’ve used the pro version in the past, but after not needing the software for about a year, subscribed at the Go Plan level. So I am using the web version, in Chrome (latest version).
I can’t figure out if things I used to do on the Pro level are just not available at the lower level, or if I just can’t find them. In the past, I have created my own materials (ie Tile Patterns) to use for bathroom renovations.
I’m probably on the low end of intermediate skill level on using SketchUp. Have not done any paid courses or bootcamp.
I’m working on a Mac Powerbook Pro. Using macOS Monterey (version 12.6.6). Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536MB.
My last UFO spotting was 16 years ago. I have been sober ever since. But if it happened again, I would, no doubt, try to render it in SketchUp.
I hate all Emojis. (If I sound like a cranky old fart, it is because I am.)

I use SketchUp Pro 2022 on a windows desktop, AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz Windows 10 64 bit with 64 GB DDR4 Ram.
. I am retired and use SketchUp to make 3D models from photos or blueprints as a hobby and just for fun. I’m still struggling with some of the more complex tools in SketchUp.
I used to work at an engineering firm. I was a structural steel designer using AutoCAD and Revit to design structures such as food processing plants, parking garages, hotels and banks and more.
I would say that I am somewhere between beginner and intermediate as far as SketchUp experience.
I don’t yet have any models worth posting.
