I am Toon.
At high school we used autocad. Playing with autocad at home got me towards drawing my room in detail. Autocad was no longer the best type of software. I discovered Sketchup around 2009.
Managed to draw our house, draw a few new houses and some furniture, just for fun.

After a heavier depression a few years ago, my only task was to find a life purpose since I had none. Combining all my wishes and needs and capabilities resulted into Pixel Plus. It is my (at the moment unofficial) non-profit organization, and basically all my life revolves around.
In the picture you see part of what I do. The vr glasses are used to setup virtual rides here. You also see a car setup and a beamer. This is to offer those experiences (and the freedom to choose more) to multiple mentally disabled people, at ZonneliedVZW, a care center.
But Pixel Plus stands for more than that. I also adapt hardware and adapt software inputs and such to bring serious gaming within reach of more people. Someone who can only use a joystick parked a truck last week, for example.
Recently I started informing myself for a new project I have in mind. With some far from optimal software, an example was created and the idea is approved and applauded.
A Virtual Reality museum, combining artwork from different departments from ZonneliedVZW. This would not only give the option to showcase more, but also to create a social environment where two artists can meet now.
Sketchup came up while searching on creating 3d environments, and that’s what brings me here. Knowing Sketchup is suited AND familiar it will be the design software for this project.
Next week is the start of a support program I got in to that might go on for two years. That again will most likely lead to another program or to me becoming a student. In the meanwhile, I’ll go on doing what I do for free, without any paperwork and worries.
