Hi. I’m just getting back into using sketchup after a few years off. I last used sketchup 8 with a few plugins to design 3D ACW model ship paper/card models.
I am buying a 3D printer and want to use sketchup to design things for that including model ships, buildings and the odd vehicle. I’ve placed an order for a new laptop and will be going for sketchup pro I think as I want to be able to use an offline version rather than just online.
I am interested to see what has changed since my version 8. I’m hoping some of the adds on I used are either included now or I can still get them e.g. curviloft. I will have to work out how to install the plugins again. Hopefully as I do things it will all come back, but I expect I will have to watch a few videos and read some threads here to get reskilled again!
