What causes this on web version after loading doe’s not seem to want to go to full screen, just leaves this white band.

Maybe browser needs to be a new profile question along with OS and grafix card? Hard to imagine troubleshooting all the browser options out there.
well according to the op profiile he has no operating system. That could be a possible issue.
