Hi Colin, did you have the opportunity to test this on your new iMac ? Did you solve it ? Thank you.
I tried on my M1 Max MacBook Pro, and mirroring to an external monitor makes the dimensions text show upside-down. Running only on the internal monitor shows the text correctly.
As SketchUp isnāt re-rendering the scene when connecting another monitor, it seems like itās the way the Mac is displaying text elements. I am running macOS 13, it looks like Apple didnāt fix the problem on their side. I did report the problem months ago.
Incidentally, 2017 does not stay open for very long on my M1 Max machine. That might be more of a problem than the inverted text.
Something else I tested, connecting a second monitor, not mirrored, show the text correctly on both monitors.
iMac on its own screen shows the text correctly.
Thank you VERY much Colin ! I never tought about testing without the external monitor, and yes it works on my macbookās screen :-)))
And yes, it works as well if I donāt mirror. Thank you for your help, problem almost solved for me !
Another trick:
If you start your drawing on the macbook screen and then drag it to the external, it works as well
