Hi @pseris, thanks for the post and sorry to hear that you are running into this issue. I have not seen this one in a long time so please bear with me while I try and remember an answer for you. I’ll also go ahead and ping our servers and run some tests to make sure that the function is working as intended and that we did not introduce a new bug in the tools themselves.
I’ll update this post with an answer as soon as I can.
We just deployed Sketchup, so all of my students went straight into designing after installing it on their Google profile which led to the issue.
We had to close Chrome and go back into edu.sketchup.com and when they logged in with their account information, they now had a link to their Google Drive available when they clicked “save”.
As for work that was in progress, we were able to export it as a .skp file and reupload after signing back in to keep their work in progress. (additionally, on some devices, the unsaved work was loaded when they went back, thankfully, and they were able to then save their new work to Drive.)
Glad to hear you were able to figure out the issue. Hopefully your solution helps someone else in the future if they run into a similar issue. I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved for now. If it comes back please let me know so we can start troubleshooting right away.
