Tool to "unsmooth, unsoft, unhide"?

Is there any tool or plugin that can easily unsmooth/uunsoft/unhide lines the same way an eraser can smooth and hide the lines?

If you read the tool tips on the bottom task bar it will tell you the various modifier keys, alt being Unsmooth.
