The Reply as linked topic feature is gone

With the latest Discourse update, the “Reply as linked topic” feature is gone !

This makes it harder to start new topics, and will result in more threads being yanked off-topic.

I notice the cross-linked links now appear very dimly at the bottom of either the first post, or the last post. I haven’t yet figured it out.

It looks like they moved it under the age of the post. For example, when I click on the 6d on your comment above there is an option for “New Topic” it will start a new discussion with a link to the new thread.

Okay, you get the solution, Jody!

I am glad it is still available, but what a stupid place to put it.
It aught to be just next to the regular “Reply” button.
